Even on an overcast day, this powerful jet of water, which can reach a height of 60 metres (or 200ft) looked really spectacular against its backdrop of late autumn foliage and beautiful Peak District scenery. You only have to walk a short distance along an easy path from the garden entrance to view the fountain. There are lovely views back towards the house from the far end of the Canal Pond. Some interesting sculpture to look at too. A wonderful introduction to the Chatsworth Garden!

Was a bit underwhelming. Not really much of a fountain.

Love walking along here, it was windy, sunny and rainy perfect for rainbows at the emperor fountain. We saw a few but the clouds looked ominous....

Chatsworth house is the biggest house I went to, it has 25 rooms, It feels like you are in palace. The garden is big also, it has a water fountain and a maze. You have to book the place if you want to go to chatsworth. It is suitable for everyone. it has a wheelchair accessible, it good idea if you bring your kids around. The water fountain is beautiful to see.

An amazing experience is at grabs at this wonderful exquisite house (museum). You can pay extra for a guided tour or you can walk round at your leisure. Assistants are scattered around the museum for help and assistance. You'll be amazed by the art work and artifacts they have at Chatworth. The gardens are spectacular with breath taking views a of the surrounding countryside. Disability facilities are available throughout the house and gardens to make the experience amazing for everyone. Food courts are available and fantastic tasting ice scream. Parking available at £4 per car and entrance to the house and gardens for a single adult was £22 pound. When I a was there I met an assistant called Penny and she was amazing. She answer all our questions and she had excellent knowledge of the house and the paintings. I was also stricken by her knowledge and looks and fell for her intellectual beauty. She was kind and she had an amazingly soft time to her voice, she made us feel really comfortable in her presence. So I'd like to take this opportunity to say, thank you Penny you was Amazing. Take care Penny.

When this fountain is running at full power and the jet of water is at its full height, it really is a sight to behold!
If you are in the grounds at near sunset and you can get the sun behind you. There are fantastic photos of the house and fountain to be had!
I highly recommend it!
