Review added as someone who was wandering the park, not staying here The views from the grounds around the tower are fantastic. Three cannons pointing out over the derwent valley, with views of Edensor Church in the distance, and various parts of the Peak District. Definitely makes for a unique photo and on a blue sky day in autumn, must be wonderful to see (i went in early october, so the colours are only just starting to change For anyone thinking about staying here. The sign says it’s private, but I imagine this tower is photo’d dozens of times a day, and tourists will be yards from your door

Absolutely stunning. Beautifully refurbished. Modern inside and comfortable without losing the charm of the building. I can't rate this highly enough.

The Hunting Tower is an amazing place to look at the view of Chatsworth Park. The way there contains many hills and water features. A great place to go on a walk

Gorgeous walk up to the tower, steep steps, but great views and lovely walk beyond the tower.

Quite a climb up many steps but worth doing if only once to see this unusual building. Great views once your up there.

Walk towards the entrance for the nursery then keep to the right over the Cattle Grid. Aim to keep to the path and up the changing stairs rather than the paved road... take that route on the way down ❤ #challengingexperience #steepstarsfor50metres

Great view of Chatsworth park Peeping out of Stand wood this majestic tower which predates Stand Wood and once provided uninterrupted views of the hunt in this ancient deer park. Today 4 lakes feed the house and gardens. See the spectacular aqueduct and marvel at the Emperor Stream contouring around the moor.

Really terrific views and very, very special. Would give it the full five stars but the spiral, stone staircase is challenging.

This hidden gem is amazing! The architecture is brilliant and it is set in an absolutely gorgeous area with so much to see and do! We came here and found this tower almost by accident but we are so glad that we did! The vista is amazing and you can see for miles around on a clear day!
